Carve pumpkins with Sehome neighbors

            The Sehome Neighborhood Association and some of its members are planning a pumpkin-carving event to coincide with its push to implement a neighborhood Block Watch, SNA member Jon Shaughnessy said.

            The event, which hasn’t been given an exact time or date, will probably take place no sooner that Oct. 30. at SNA Student Representative Anastasia Tschida’s home.

            “Why not just have people come over and carve their pumpkins together and then we can talk about crime,” Shaughnessy said.

            Although crime is difficult and at times uncomfortable to talk about, Shaughnessy said, it could constructive this environment.
